One Family
Happy to Have!
|
I would like to share my joy of knowing
one wonderful family. I was lucky to meet them, when I first went to United
States of America on March 19,1999, as an AuPair. I had my fears of getting
along with the family and with the kids, 3 and 5 years old boys. I was scared of
all of the new experiences that were to come and was not too sure if I could
make it through the year.
So I decided to observe first and then try to fit in to the family which I love with all of my heart now. The boys turned out to be extremely smart and of course full of jokes as boys at that age usually are. The mother of the family turned out to be more than a host-mom for me. She is my dearest friend, my adviser in everything that includes my life. She helped me to set my priorities straight and I really do admire her. My host-dad turned out to be a wonderful person. I have never seen a person who took my "screw ups" so calmly and nicely, who would say a right word at the right time. I have learned so much from them, I have grown to be a better person and know now what my goals are. And these two boys are in my heart as my own. I worry if they go in to a new school, I cry if I get something that they have made themselves. I show their picture to all of my new friends and introduce them as my own. Of course I get weird looks, but that's how I feel - they are part of me. The reason I am writing is that I would like to share my joy of knowing this family, and I am positive that other people who know them will agree with me, they are wonderful. And I would like to thank them just for being there. I love you dearly. Always, |
